L2H - Lowest to Highest

September/October 2027

135 miles on foot from Badwater Basin, Death Valley — the lowest point in

the United States — to the summit of Mt. Whitney, the highest point in the lower 48.

OUR CORE BELIEF

Why We're Doing This

The Humility Quest exists to remind people to live.

As high performers, we spend our lives chasing professional goals and providing for the people we love. Somewhere along the way, it's easy to trade the things that make us feel alive for the pursuit of "success."

The L2H is that belief in action.

Belief 01

Success without actually living isn't worth it.

Accomplishments, milestones, and accolades mean nothing if the fire inside goes quiet. Real victory includes personal vitality.

Belief 02

When you start doing the things that make you feel alive again, you show up differently, and you do everything else better too.

Reigniting your core energy creates a multiplier effect across your leadership, your family, and your life's greatest work.

ROUTE SNAPSHOT

The Adventure

The L2H connects the lowest point in North America to the highest point in the lower 48 states - an iconic, self-contained journey across extremes of elevation, climate, and terrain.

Timing Strategy:The timing is intentional. Death Valley will still be hot, but the priority is reaching Whitney before the Sierra snow closes the summit.

THE JOURNEY

How It Works

We handle the logistics so you can focus entirely on the physical and mental challenge of the trail. Here is what to expect from Badwater Basin to Mount Whitney.

01

Supported expedition

Participants won't carry tents, food, or camp gear during the journey. A volunteer support team will set up water and food caches along the route and have camp ready each night.

02

Run it or hike it

Kevin will be running as much of the route as he can. Participants are welcome to hike at their own pace within daily safety windows.

03

Full route or a section

Can't commit to all six days? We'll work with you to join for part of the journey and coordinate rendezvous checkpoints.

04

Safety comes first

Extreme heat, long days, and high altitude make this a serious undertaking. Participants will be expected to meet fitness requirements, and all participants and volunteers will complete formal registration and waivers.

05

It will be documented

The L2H will be filmed as part of The Humility Quest's content. Everyone involved will sign a media release.

JOIN THE MISSION

Get Involved

Choose your pathway to engage with the L2H challenge, support the team, or power the expedition.

Participate

Want to take on the L2H yourself? Group size is limited by permits, so let us know early.

Volunteer

Volunteers make this possible, and volunteers join at no cost. We need help in these areas:

  • Support crew: Driving ahead to set up water and food caches, and setting up camp before participants arrive
  • Emergency support: Coordinating with emergency services and recruiting first responders to the team
  • Planning: Route planning and overall logistics
  • Communications technology: Sourcing, setting up, and operating emergency devices for every participant and volunteer
  • Sponsor recruitment: Connecting us with companies that want to be part of the L2H

Sponsor

We're looking for partners who believe in what this stands for. We welcome financial sponsorships and in-kind support, including:

  • RVs and support vehicles
  • Satellite communication devices
  • All-terrain vehicles
  • Food, drinks, and supplements
  • Camping and outdoor equipment

Sponsors will be featured in the L2H content and across The Humility Quest's channels.
